It was different. Several characters were combined, the plot was somewhat changed and a couple of other things. I haven't read it in a while - last time was shortly after seeing the movie.
There were also a bunch of things that the book explained but the movie left out making it more confusing. There were a few other things. however I'm not sure how much is because of the language differences - assuming here that Myazaki used a Japanese translation - and how many were because of directoral decisions in translating the book to the screen. That said I enjoyed the movie a lot, and intend to get it when its released on DVD. Has anyone heard of a release date yet? larry On 1/7/06, Jim Davis <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > -----Original Message----- > > From: Larry C.
