No, I don't think it is. Unless you consider Bush's people to be corporations and the the individuals in the top percentiles of wealth in this country. Those, he represents just fine. The US as a whole? I don't think he has a clue and I don't think he wants a clue. How does being a socialist prevent anyone from representing his people? You may not agree with socialism but if a socialist government is elected a socialist government is elected.
> I hope that's just your dislike of Mr. Bush speaking, cause they're > not even in the same ballpark. Chavez is a self-avowed socialist. The *system* is great, one of the best anywhere, but the present holders of power are doing their best to pervert it. That wiki article I posted mentions Transparency Internations. It is interesting to note that Venezuala does not seem to be mentioned in their current report. Occupied Iraq is, however. > As to representation, it's the system that represents the people and > I'm mostly comfortable with ours as are 99% of Americans. The same > can't be said for Venezuela's people. They are split and not split > like you and Sam over Mr. Bush, split like we-need-a-coup split. So if we provide the coup we are just doing the will of the peopel huh. Just like in Iraq. > Chavez has taken steps to socialize his country push out his > detractors in every corner the most dangerous of which being the > military. We don't have that here in the US. Maybe only because > nobody would accept it as I no doubt Mr. Bush would pursue it if he > could. He'd probably call it the "Patriot" test. The above is not totally clear -- it looks like you revised it and missed something. What is "it'? Absolute power? I am not so sure Bush doesn't want that. ANd I am not so sure thant nobody would accept it. In the long run I think we'll recover but it will take some time. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:191088 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
