One other point here, let's look at Cuba's accomplishments: 1.) Name the top hospitals in the world for, say, heart disease. Are any in Cuba? 2.) Name the top technology advances released in the last decade. Are any from Cuba? 3.) In the new creative economy, how many job creating firms are in Cuba? So while Cuba's citizens may be well educated, what are they doing with it? Where are the great Cuban advancements? It reminds me of an old Cuban joke: A young lady decides it's time to bring her brain surgeon fiance home to meet her family. Upon introducing him she says, "This is Carlo, my fiance, he's a bellboy at the big hotel." The family oohs and aahs and the dinner goes off without a hitch. Later, when they're alone, the fiance asks, "why didn't you tell them I was a brain surgeon? Why did you say I was a bus boy?" The young lady replies, "Because I didn't want them to think you were poor!" [because only tourist workers have access foreign currency via tips which drives the monstrous black market otherwise known as capitalism. And that's where the real money in Cuba is.] ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:191338 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
