Perhaps buying a copy of Win2k would be cheaper and easier than wasting all
this time.

But then again, maybe that was their plan......

sorry about this, but.......

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY do MS make configuring networks such a PITA on
NT4?!?!?!?!?

All I did was switch the Network Cards in my NT4 and Linux box... easy
eh?? Nup!! Took the card out the NT box and put it in the Linux
machine... booted, on the network, no mess, no drama!

But putting the other card back into the NT box?? Do you think the
little b&!^@d will work? I must have rebooted about 18 times so far
because every time you try a new setting you have to REBOOT the effing
thing!! Jeez, I hate this stuff sometimes!! So what is the trick
here? Do I really have to remove TCP/IP and the Adapter, and then add
them both back in and effectively start from scratch again???

Why do they make it so difficult for us?? I should be in the house
spending time with my wifey, instead I'm here cursing and kicking this
stooopid machine!!! grrrrrrrrrr
