Thinking about this more carefully, could we not solve this fairly simply? Why don't you agree to the religious requirements and start teaching about ID in the science class...
The teacher/lecturer in question can then get up in front of the class one day and say "Now, ID... What a load of crap. It isn't science it's religion, and it's just plain wrong." "Next topic, evolution..." And that would be the end of it.
