It screwed up all throughout the system. When a basketball coatch makes more than a vice-chancellor or a full professor of physics etc., you know something is screwed up.
As for wo's to blame, I would look to the local school board. They are the ones setting the salaries and policies, they are the ones making the dumb-ass decisions to teach ID or creatinism. The NEA is like any other professional organization, they look out for their members, set training standards etc. Blaming them is just setting up a convienient whipping boy for the right wing to get their toadies frothing at the mouth again. larry On 1/12/06, Kevin Schmidt <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > And we'll continue to see fewer students enter the sciences. > > Until our education system realizes that the guy teaching Physics is worth > more than the gym teacher we're going to have a fucked up public education > system. > > Go ahead and thank NEA for that. > > -----Original Message----- > From: Scott Stewart [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Thursday, January 12, 2006 12:31 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: RE: I'm gonna back Intelligent Design > > In the current system, the degreed Chemists, Engineers, physicists make a > shitload more money working in their field. > > Until teaching can compare to or surpass those salaries, we'll simply run > out of teachers.. > > Scott A.
