As far as unions go, the NEA has done a terrible job for their membership.

Look who resists any time a school board want to make salary based on
performance, or a new charter school, or school choice. It's the NEA. They
are not serving their membership well at all. And the students are the ones
suffering the most.

And college is not the same Larry. College salaries are based on the free
market. Salaries are not based on how many years you've been there. If you
don't like what your making, you can go elsewhere if you are good. Hell you
might even be recruited. Want to switch school districts, unless you leave
the state, you're going to get the same salary at every public school.

And as far as the ACLU goes, it doesn't take much to argue against a group
that defends NAMBLA. The National Endowment for the Arts shouldn't use
taxpayer dollars to pay for wonderful masterpieces such as "Piss Christ"

Hit send without finishing:

Blaming the NEA is just setting up a convienient whipping boy for the
right wing to get their toadies frothing at the mouth again, so they
make more contributions to the right wing pressure groups. Ever notice
that when these groups need more money, there's always some
convienient rant againt the NEA, ACLU, National Endowment for the
Humanities, Public Broadcasting etc. The pathetic part is that the
followers suck it up every time and get out their ckeck books.
