Thanks for the recommendations everyone. I've decided to go with the Dell 24 inch LCD. It means I have to wait an extra month until I get paid for a fairly large project I'm working on but it will be worth the wait. Here in Canada it will cost me in the neighborhood of $1500 CAN.
