##| And she looks pretty scared and uncertain in those photos.
##| Be sure to give her lots of reassuring hugs ^_^

They always look scared and uncertain ... Breed trait.
And they shiver, when they are happy, cold, excited, scared ... They
just shiver.
And they cry ... Spike cries if you yell at her. Or look at her funny.
Or don't cuddle her.

They are uber smart though. Learn things real fast.

Another trick Tony - we have a full size dog crate for the iggies, half
the box is a litter box, the other half sleeping quarters. That way if
she needs to piddle whilst you are out or overnight - she'll go in the
litter box. It's quite handy. I never worry about the iggies if we go
out for 4-6 hours or so. Of course - just because they have a litter
box, doesn't mean they don't go outside. We're VERY STRICT about the
routine and they still get sent out no matter what.

AND - another piece of advice. If you do not pander to her now over wet
and cold weather - then she'll always go outside no matter what it is
doing outside. When I first got Spike, she hated the rain. But I would
stand outside with her for almost an hour in the pouring rain until she
went. Each and every time. Now she doesn't care what the weather is,
cold, rain, hot ... She ALWAYS goes outside because she knows she has
to. Same with the Lucy when she first got here.

Do NOT pander to her. You'll feel sorry for her - but don't. Iggies love
to play that downtrodden look. They practice it from birth.

:)

Cheers,
Erika
