I don't know anything about Garrison Enterprises, aside from that they
approached me asking if I was still looking for work, so I can't really
comment on them. As far as living in Charlotte goes, though ...

It's a pretty nice place to live. The traffic can be a pain at times and
there has been an increase in gang activity, but nothing really serious.

If you like sports, there are the Panthers (woohoo go Panthers), obviously
and also the Bobcats in their brand new arena, which is quite nice I might
add. There are also the Checkers and the Knights (hockey and baseball [farm
team for the White Sox]).

There are also a lot of art and entertainment things. There is always
something going on at the Blumenthal Performing Arts Center. Now that the
new basketball arena has opened, events have started to be scheduled at it
as well. Since moving down here, some of the things I have seen have
included Phantom of the Opera, Miss Saigon, STOMP, Manheim Steamroller, Clay
Aiken's Christmas thing, etc. Recently, some of the bands to come through
town have included Bon Jovi, The Rolling Stones and U2.

Downtown is nice and mostly clean. Driving in downtown isn't bad, though
most of the time I'm sure it's easier to just walk. I don't quite know what
the cost of living is, as I don't actually live in Charlotte, but I don't
think it would be bad at all.

Another option to living in and around Charlotte itself would be to live
across the sate line in Rock Hill, SC. The cost of living is lower, as are
taxes. Depending on where one works in Charlotte and rock Hill, the commute
could be as short as 25-30 minutes.

Both cities are growing rapidly and the area is prosperous.

Oh yeah, and right in between both of them, right off the Interstate is
Paramount's Carowinds.

That was a lot of random info. If you have any specific questions, ask
away.
