I was actually thinking of this - it's childish, purile and low, but dammit it's still fun. I'll still read the first books now and again but I've never been able to get through the later ones (once he started getting overly self-referential it really lost a lot for me). I could actually see this as a "Xena/Hercules/Sinbad" kind of low-budget syndicated show.
