yep, that wasn't my intent to equate it to a birth defect.  My intent
is that many many children are born throughout the U.S. everyday that
are outside the "norm".  Some have ultra high iq's some low, some with
bigger bones to support bigger muscles later in life, some with
smaller bones that will enable them to be jockeys, etc.

That said, she's really not that bad.  I would even say she's not that
far outside of the "norm" :)  She, just like everyone else, has been
influenced by her parents and surroundings.  Even though I'd like to
think of myself as not prejudiced, I can't say that I'd act any
differently than the young cop in the movie.
