Still goes back to what you can afford. Also, size isn't really as important as quality. A 2 carat rock that is SI-3, I color, may be big...but under a loupe it's gonna look really really ugly. And wait until she tries to get it appraised and the jeweler gets this horrified look on his face.
My suggestion would be to stay under a carat (prices really jump between .9 and 1), and keep your color at H or above, and clarity at SI-2 or above. >i think the general rule should be 1 carat or less for the engagement. > unless you play in the nba, nfl, mlb or for ohio state. > > really. why go bigger? she might fucking leave you... she might lose > it... > you have no where to go up from a larger one... what are you going to do > go from a 2 carat to a 3? fuck that. start manageable and go up from > there. > > :) tw > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:194240 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
