I would talk with a doctor or county health office. I'm not sure there is a way to detect rabies in you. I seem to recall that there isn't, but I may be wrong. The problem is that if there is no test and you think there is a real chance, you have a difficult choice. Get the shots just in case, or have the dog checked.
