NO joke.
Yes, like the breakers have to be reset.
and it wasn't a priority because it did not stop any of the process units
from running, and to the number crunchers we are an in-house administrative
expense rather than a source of revenue -- don't forget, our clients are all
in-house, not billed. We ended up doing a favor for the guy who supervised
the electricians, then got it fixed.

If you go to the doctor and say "doc, it hurts when I do this" so the doctor
says "don't do that". Same thing. Don't use all those appliances at the
same time. It wasn't like it was broken all the time (to them).

You people are all joking right?
How...can an office run like that?
When you say blow..you mean the breakers have to be reset and stuff?

How come..uhh..fixing that wasn't some sort of priority with the number
crunchers?

Don't laugh!
For several years if we used the microwave without turning off the
switch on the coffeepot, and the refrigerator cycled on, it would blow
power to half the plugs in the office (in a double-wide trailer). Took
us a long time to get it fixed. And right after that they moved us to
the admin building. Somehow, sending an (in-house) electrician to fix
something in our office got "lost" in the paperwork pile compared to
fixing the things that actually make money in the plant. <sigh>
