Personally I think it's more subtle than that - they (the extremists) are
attacking as if the cartoons were a sign of hatred for Muslims.  I'm not so
sure, from the cartoons, that anybody involved "hated Muslims".

Rational Muslims looked at that, felt (according to their cultural build
rightly) insulted and decided to voice their anger and boycott Danish
products.  Irrational Muslims attacked.  Irrational people of any stripe
need very little excuse to attack.

I still find the reaction from some people here disappointing.  We know what
to expect from extremists, this behavior isn't surprising.  But to have
people tout the superiority of our culture on one hand and devolve to the
same level on the other is infuriating.

The irony is that some of us are allowing a very small minority of Muslim
extremist to convert them to their way of thinking.
