I'm not sure I really know, to be honest. But I think the term itself has 
been mostly used to describe one of the 5 major religions: Islam, Judaism, 
Hinduism, Buddhism and Christianity. There are other religions that could 
certainly be described as "organized", though.

Let me ask you this: when the average person is using the term "organized 
religion", do you think they are including Judaism? Right or wrong, my hunch 
is yes.
