You might want to consider kubuntu as well... http://www.kubuntu.org

I really haven't used a Windows box for a desktop environment in
over2 years. Between kubuntu (I use Wine on kubuntu so really no need
for Windows) and OS X I'm pretty much covered.

I use Citrix Sessions for most Windows apps I need.

KDE offers alot of advantages over the deafult Gnome desktop manager
that Ubuntu uses. You'll find alot more software that is compatible
to KDE than gnome.

Why cant you use linux?

If you need a Dreamweaver type of proggie you can use nvu or eclipse

Itunes is equivalent to amorak (sort of) but there are proggies
closer to itunes out there on Linux

There are several vpn clients out there as well.

Anyways, I havent had a Windows Desktop running in over 2 years but I
work mainly in a Unix type (Linux and Solrais) environments. In all
honesty I dont miss it one bit.

Thanks,
Michael
