Not my manifesto :) Although if he wins the leadership election I am tempted to join his party.
I think liberal is viewed differently in the UK to the US, over here it is a center party, between Labour on the left and the Torys on the right (at least thats how it was before we got this ultra right wing nutter Blair as PM). About the taxes, he has stated that he doesn't want to increase the total tax burden, but to adjust it so that people on minimum wage don't pay tax anymore, which seems sensible. He was a very well regarded economist before becoming a politician and does seem very strong in that area.
