I've been using a CPAP for about 2 years now. On 2/15/06, Earl, George <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > How does your cpap affect your sleep? Can you roll around, sleep on your > side, your stomach, pull the covers up around your neck, still hear the > clock radio?
It takes a bit of getting used to but now I pretty much sleep however. No big problems.. Stomach sleeping is the hardest with the mask, but I am more of a side sleeper. How big a deal is it to disconnect to head to the bathroom during the > night and then reconnect again? Super Simple. Turn the machine off by hitting the buttom and slide the mask off. Done. Takes 1-2 sec. How does your partner feel about your cpap? Was upset she didn't here me snore anymore. :) Had to check on me to see if I was still breathing. The CPAP pretty much eliminates any type of snoring whatsoever. All you here is a slight air sound. How has the cpap affected your 'romantic' life? It doesn't. If you are single and dating or exploring relationships, at what point > do you have 'the cpap talk' with your new flame and what do you say to > her/him? I'm married, so I couldn't answer that. Does the cpap require maintenance? Little. Make sure your filter is clean. Do you have to go back to the sleep doctor for a checkup on a regular > basis? You should.. What does insurance typically pay for? Really depends on the insurance. I changed insurances and the first insurance company made payments and when I left. I just took over the payments and now I own it without any reports being set to insurance company for use. Have any more questions, fire away...
