People...Trinidad has just about every major brand name luxury car out there.
And we only have 1.2 million people in the entire country.

it is amazing.

Porsche has recently opened up an OUTLET in Trinidad.
You hearing me? Not that they selling one car now, another car in a
few years. They've opened an OUTLET! BIG Showroom!!

We have Hummers, Porsche Cayennes, the latest Jaguars, BMWs all over
the place, AudiiA6s and A8s, Renaults. Peugeots. PLUS we have all the
top Japense rides, Silvias, Sentras, Honda Civics, the new Civic SI is
sweet, Altezzas,EVo VIIIs, 350zs you name it we got it. There was a
350z on the road here just a few months after the car was released in
the Japan.

There is a vibrant Tuner culture over here with several car shows a
year and the designs and cars are incredible! We actually hold the
record for the fastest Lancer in the world, or is it in that Lancer
category..not sure.

I'm constantly amazed at all this, especially due to the fact that any
car in Trinidad costs DOUBLE what you would see in a showroom in the
US! Trust me I know how expensive it is because I'm driving a European
car at the moment.

Our drivers are not the most considerate, however. There is a lot of
madness on the road, and those Taxi drivers are a lot of times the
cause of it in their rush to get to their next passenger and make
their fare quota for whomever owns the car/maxi. Things could most
definitely be more orderly, but as for SUVs turning over or being in
more accidents? Nah, I would have to say that you're actually
definitely safer in an SUV in Trinidad or a Pickup especially given
the poor road conditions in most places. In some areas just driving
along the normal roads would qualify as light off-roading in the US
;-)
