I have a friend, who I will call "I" (short for Ignacious).

Most of the books I NEEDs, I has in both print and digital format. Even
though the digital format is questionable.

I has other digital books on a "break in case of emergency" cd-rom.

I feels if he dips into the book once, no penalty. Twice, and he buys it.
Hopefully used, but new when needed. This is for three reasons. First, print
books are easier to use day in day out. Second, guilt. Third, doing the
right thing. Good books on good subjects by good authors need to be
rewarded, or we won't get any more.

I spends about 1500 a year on books, about 300 of that on technical books.
