If you're talking about Pat Wright, he was a legitimate candidate.
He's been a long time activist for the rights of ferret owners in
California. Owning a ferret is currently illegal in the state. He
became involved after the Department of Fish Game and Wildlife raided
his house and later had his pet ferret killed.
