My daughter has been begging my mother to come to town ever since X-Mas. This weekend my mother finally came out to spend the weekend with us. She got lucky because the weather was perfect- mid 70's and sunny. I hosted some friends of my parents for dinner Friday. I ate really well on mom's tab, including a stupendo meal at Trattoria Acqua last night. Saturday, my wife took us all to a nice cheese shop, and we looked at beautiful homes in an old part of San Diego.
I finally got back to the gym Saturday after a two week exercise hiatus due to the flu. My mother, my daughter, and I worked on decorating a doll house I built for my daughter. I interviewed a high school student for college admissions to my alma mater, and I submitted her report and another report late last night, after which I had a drink and took a nice dip in the hot tub. After that weekend, I'm glad to get a break and go back to work! >How was everybody's weekend?
