Bill _Simmons_, Brian _Simmons_....coincidence, I think not. :)

Like a religion, I read it.

As for Coco vs Johnny, I've gotta agree with Sox mgmt on this one.

Look at Coco's #'s versus Johnny's #'s. Very similar indeed, except for one
number:
Is JD worth NINE million more per year over the next 4 years???
Absolutely no way. At the end of which, JD will be 37-ish, and Coco 30-ish.

Plus, JD throws like a grandma. I can't wait till Bengie Molina turns a
routine single into a triple on JD. The Bronx fans will be all over his
clean-cut butt.

I think it's funny to hear so-called Yankees fans bragging about stealing away
the best leadoff hitter in baseball. It gives me great pleasure to tell them
that the best leadoff hitter last year was in fact....Derek Jeter.

My only problem with Coco was having to give up Marte. I think that kid was
the real deal. I think the D-Rays are going to be kicking themselves in the
future when they realize that they shouldva pulled the trigger for a Lugo-Marte
deal straight up. Another bone-headed decision/non-decision by the DRays.
