Actually Tony look at some of the vacation packages for the resort. They can be pretty reasonable. I'd suggest staying in Vancouver, but considering the highway to Whistler, I'd rather stay in Whistler BC. Besides, you'll love some of the bars in the town. There are a couple where the ski slopes end about 10 feet away from the entrance to the bar.
