I guess I have more faith in people's ability to make choices on their
own. I don't remember any advertisement bending my arm behind my back
and making me buy a soda. Assuming everyone knows that soda's "fat
juice", then this is more a matter of willpower - or lack of
willpower.

"Woah is us, the lowly poor poor people being beat down by the man and
helpless against his wicked and magical powers of advertising.
Please, please, Mr Government man, will you come and save us because
we are all too stupid to make our own educated choices?"

I am not 100% sure, but am fairly certain that this sort of thinking
is what has put us in the welfare laden, dependant on the government
help us wipe our own asses state that this country is currently in.
