well, last nite i trashed my WRTP54G vonage wireless router.

picked up a linksys WRT54 router and the extra-gain antenna (which
cost more than the router itself), and a vonage PAP2 (which is a
vonage 'adapter'...no routing capabilities at all).

So far it's great. "unhooking" the vonage functionality from my
network feels nice because if i need to cycle the vonage adapter, my
network doesn't go down. The new router also shows significant speed
gains. Speed tests are averaging about 4.5megs down (versus 2-2.5
with the combo vonage router).

Can't speak much yet for improved quality/clarity of phone calls as
this wasn't set up 'til 2 am last nite...but will report back with an
update after we get/make a few calls :)
