*IF* you want to spend a little extra cash you can get it as part of the MS action pack. The AP costs $300 but you can write off as a biz expense. With it you get all currently supported MS OS's, SQLServer 2k and 2k5, Exchange, Office.

You know you cannot buy Windows Media Center XP? They don't sell it. You can only buy it as part of a package with the hardware. This is such crap. I have an extra computer I was going to make a media center and now I cannot. However....... I did find a Linux solution here: http://www.geexbox.org/en/index.html It seems pretty neat, but it doesn't seem to double as a TV tuner/dvr tivo type thing. I have a dvd player. I have a stereo. I am really trying to build a DVR so I can stop missing shows. Any suggestions? I have extra computer (older PB, P2 450, 512 megs ram, 128 meg ati video card). I know I would have to buy a TV in card for that to work. I also have an extra X Box, but the software to turn that into a media center doesn't seem to make it a DVR either. I'm pissed. -- Tim Heald [EMAIL PROTECTED] 703-300-3911 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:199378 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
