You just go to your phone box, disconnect it from the outside world and plug
the phone line out of your router into any of your phone outlets. It then
powers all the phone outlets in your house and everything works as before.

My expereience is that they are just horrrible about switching phone numbers
from a regular phone company. I waited 8 months and then gave up. So, if you
care about your actual phone number, then your hosed. If not, go for it.
