Yeah, good point. I just read the context of their statement and it's far from clear. It says, "DP World has decided to transfer fully the U.S. operations of P&O Ports North America Inc. to a United States entity" That is far from saying they're selling it. In fact it could simply mean that they plan to create a wholly owned US subsidiary (i.e., shell company) to run the ports which means no change. Further this is a huge loss of face for Dubai's Sheik and I wouldn't be surprised to see reprisals from such as cancelling their billion $$ a/c order with Boeing. IMO, as usual, Bush handled this like crap. First his people could've brought this forward before it became public and second, he could've pulled congress in a room before this dropped onto the press plate. Now it's a geo-political firestorm that will have far reaching consequences. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:199499 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
