My wife and I are considering getting a DVR. We have DirecTV Satellite service. Does anyone know if they force you to use one of their DVRs or can you pick up any 3rd party DVR? If it's the later, does anyone have good recommendations for a good DVR, preferably one that will allow us to burn movies to a DVD and being able to watch a show while recording another show would be cool too.
