I suggest going down to the local market, buying a can of sardines, then putting the sardines into the air intake vents on the IS staff's cars. Stuff them in there really well so they won't have a clue they are there.
What you describe is what I dread about becoming part of the "managed" lan in the not too distant future. We already have enough problem with them randomly changing our web site's features/configs, I just know they won't be able to resist hosing my desktop too.
