I also really enjoyed Joel Rosenberg's Ties of Blood and Silver, although it makes a lot more sense to me now that I'm older than it did when I read it as a teenager. It was the first novel I was able to read start-to-finish as a kid. It's funny because some of the concepts in it are very adult... though I guess I was in my early teens... 12-13-ish I think... yeah yeah, I know, you were all reading Sartre at age 5, shut up.
