a: To bring those responsible (i.e. Bush/Blair and their administrations) to
justice.

similar in the future.

Generally I mistrust the reports, soldiers on the ground will have a limited
and almost certainly biased viewpoint.

Military commanders give progress reports which are understandably skewed -
they are unlikely to say "Frankly, we are screwing it up".

Politicians lie.

The Media is largely biased, but there are a few reasonably trustworthy
sources.
