Halo is an awesome game, but the problem I find with it is that there are too many players out there with mods making their characters practically invincible. There is nothing more frustrating that blasting the crap out someone only to have the turn around and hit you with a single shot and completely obliterate you. I've never played Halo on xbox live (after spending $200 on the console and $50 to $75 on a game you shouldn't have to pay to play online) only on system link. Is it possible to use the mods on xbox live?
Lately I've been playing Call of Duty - Big Red One. It's a blast. There are no mods that I've been able to find so it keeps everyone on an even playing field. It is set during WW2 so you get period weapons. If you like WW2 games this one is a must. I'm thinking that an xbox 360 is somewhere in my near future, if I can finally convince my wife. I used to do shooters only on my PC because of the mouse, but I don't know if it's the bright colors or the simplified commands that attract me to Halo on the Xbox. I had gotten Halo for the PC and was very attracted to it. I don't like dark games and it seems like the majority of the shooters out there are very dark. Half life, half life 2, doom (1-3), Quake, Fear. They are all very dark. Don't take my word for it, play some Xbox live with Halo and you'll be hooked. It's a much nicer multiplayer enviroment then any PC game I have ever used.
