That's kinda along the same lines of nobody really knowing what jesus, mary or god look like, but they keep seeing him appear on toast, trees, pancakes, pretzels, etc. Maybe they're appearing in something else, but since we don't really know what they look like, we just go ahead and eat the pancake only to be doomed to hell forever.
