Fossil evidence also proves the age of that organism's remains. Why that 
organism existed and died in the first place.....is outside the realm of 
science.

This is a really interesting point because I think many people actually use 
this as a last-resort reason for having faith. If you have faith in God and 
an afterlife, and happen to be right.......you'll know you were right.

If on the other hand, you don't believe in a God or an afterlife, and you 
happen to be right.......you'd never know it! Atheism is setting you up for 
a bad scenario either way: either you were right and never get to know it, 
or you were wrong, and will know it for all eternity :)
