I was a Google nut, I mean Google desktop, Google toolbar, Google everything, until all of the privacy issues and freedom of speech issues started coming up.
I still use gmail, I still use the search engine and Google maps, but I will not have anything written by Google installed on any of my machines anymore. I mean seriously, their deal with China is one of the most disgusting, anti-freedom, things I have ever seen a company, especially an American one, do. Shit, I'm probably the biggest capitalist on the list next to GG, and that shit made me sick. -- Timothy Heald Analyst, Architect, Developer [EMAIL PROTECTED] W: 202-228-8372 C: 703-300-3911 -----Original Message----- From: S. Look! It's a search engine! They're GODS! We're not worthy! Look! It's advertising! They're GODS! We're not worthy! Look! It's email! They're GODS! We're not worthy! Look! It's a map! They're GODS! We're not worthy! Look! It's a chat room! They're GODS! We're not worthy! They're not bad work, but people make them out to be the freaking second coming of Christ. (Especially the maps -- that had more to do with how they spent their money than anything else.) The only exception to that rule being Google Groups, although I'm convinced that's primarily because so few people use Usenet anymore. Maybe the web accellerator, although I think the jury's still out on that one. s. isaac dealey 434.293.6201 new epoch : isn't it time for a change? add features without fixtures with the onTap open source framework http://www.fusiontap.com http://coldfusion.sys-con.com/author/4806Dealey.htm ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:202513 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
