I have to agree. I don't know enough of the specifics to be sure there was a 
better way, but I sure didn't like it. On the other hand, you have give them 
credit for standing up to the government here.

On the whole, I like the fact that they hire people for smarts and let them do 
pure research. That's unusual. But Isaac has a point about the palindrome -- 
what *does* thi shave to do with Google's core process? I am sure he *loves* 
the fact that it's now also a dating site (I kid you not).
