I think the uplink phone line has changed, at least DirectWay says that you don't need a phone. Also, I was told that it would come into a router and I would just attach other computers to it.
Other things that turned me off were: Most VPN's dont work, something about how the satellite encrypts stuff FAP - Fair Access Policy - i.e. can't download more than 170mb in 1 hour. Kinda puts a damper on linux distros as they'll turn off your service for a couple of hours High cost of equipment. It seems to be about $500 ~ $700 to get the equipment.
