In general TV Tuners are only capable of deciding basic cable signals. Digital cable is encoded, and can only be decoded by the cable box provided by the cable company.
So when you record a channel that isn't available in the basic line up, like say a channel in the 200s or above, how does that work? ATI has a tuner for HD, but only off air HD, no cable or satellite provided HD signals yet. > -----Original Message----- > From: Robyn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Sent: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 4:34 PM > To: CF-Community > Subject: Re: DVR's WAS RE: Deal or no deal? > > Now you're getting too technical for me. > > Zaphod Beeblebrox wrote: > > >are you recording the digital signal or the analog output from the cable > >box? > > > >On 4/4/06, Robyn <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > >>I think Myth has HD recording in the works, but I'm not sure.
