The Democrats are probably in bed with the republicans, so not a darn thing is going to happen to Bush. Incompetence only explains so much. And yes, what's happening in the US is unbelievable.
I still think it is the finest example of behavioural psychology used on a global scale to date. I think we will look back on this time (if we are allowed to debate openly in the future) and it will be discussed ad nauseum in political and psychological classes.
