http://global.acer.com/products/notebook/tm8200.htm Same basic platform with just a slight difference in exterior shell design. And the Acer has an integrated camera. I like the MacBookPro and Apple's support for running WinXP on it, but I just don't have anything I want to run on OS X. I've used both, and I like WinXP better for useability. Some things for people to consider before buying a MacBook Pro for running WinXP: - No del key. So you'll have to remap something to be able to ctrl-alt-del to bring up the task manager. - No second "mouse" button on the trackpad. So you'll either need to map a key-mousebutton combo to get the same effect or always plug in a real mouse with multiple buttons. - OS X can't write to NTFS volumes (it can read though), and WinXP can't read/write to HFS+. So finding a common filesystem for sharing files across both OS environments may be an issue. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:203399 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
