In favor. The structure of our government comes from the compormise made by
the states when the Constitution was drafted. The electoral college ensures
that small states can play a significant role in the election of the
President. Under a popular vote, candidates would never visit places like
Iowa, Kansas, Vermont, New Hampshire, the Dakotas, Wyoming, Montana, Maine,
etc.

The small states recognize their position, and they would never vote to
amend the Constitution to take away what influence they have in the process.
