I guess that all depends on the Boy Scout Troop you are in. I made it
allt he way to Eagle, and I think counted about 70 camping and other
trips overall during that time. Including:

12 day hike in Philmont, going from 90 degree heat on the desert floor
to a mountaintop with an unmelted snowdrift all in the same day.
Hiking plateaus, forest, desert and mountain terrain during that time.
Also, took the "hard way" up to the Tooth of Time near base camp at
the end of the 12 days. I think this route was called "the fortress"
or something like that and was basically climbing hands and knees up
the steep side of the mountain. We walked back down the easy side.

Also did several overnights on Aircraft Carriers, which I enjoyed
quite a bit. We had a winter "cold weather" camping trip in February,
which in Georgia isn't THAT cold compared to Canada, but it was around
32 most of the time. That's cold enough in my book.

Didn't do any hunting trips, but we did have an annual gun trip where
one of the fathers took us all to camp on a family farm out in the
country and learn gun safety. Usually the first half of the first day
was all gun safety and the rest was just shooting guns. The guy
probably had 20+ different guns and we all got to take turns, picking
what we wanted to shoot, one at a time. I actually still have a shot
up sprite can that the guy was able to throw in the air and shoot like
4-6 times before it hit the ground. (Hey, I am easily impressed)

Also hiked a good bit of the Appalachian trail, spelunking trips, etc.
It was all a very good experience for me.
