Accept the position at the NP contingent on two weeks notice from your current employer, explain that you're waiting for a bonus you earned and that you'll essentially need a full month before you can start at the new digs.
They'll either be amenable or they won't, so if they aren't, consider their reasons and then take the decision again whether or not you want to work for them (is it a clue as to what sort of employer they'll be?) If you're really anxious to start at the new digs, well, chalk it up to lessons learned and hope the new job pays out in happiness/overall increase in the quality of your life :-) good luck On 4/14/06, Paul Ihrig <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > well, was just offed a position to do cf again! > its been a few years! > > its for a non-profit, doing work that really matters. > would have a full time dba & 2 other cf'ers who know more, so i can learn > from! > i can finally get away from canned jsp code & frontpage. > > + i go from 2 weeks vacation to like 5+ weeks vacation day 1 + 11 holidays. > cut my commute from 23.1 mi (about 45 mins) to 7.0 mi (about 15 mins) > > > frigin weird where life puts you some times. > > i am due a bonus at my current job in like a week or 2... > how do i fanagle to keep it! its a quarterly thing. - need to get my rotter, > breaks & bearings done. > so i need to wait to give notice, will they boot me or keep me for the 2 > weeks. > > also need to find some morels! > > -paul > > > ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:204292 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
