saw the laptop. Before it reboots it displays an UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME stop error as described here:
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=297185 The laptop owner denies having played with his cables and probably does not know how. He has no idea what a DMA is, even after I tried to explain it to him. The message does not match the one for a damaged file system.
