No - just pushing things on carpet is much, much more difficult (I'm used to sliding things out, cleaning behind them, then sliding them back). And the tack strips on the outside make all the shelving crooked so I have to shim everything. EVERYTHING was carpeted here - even the bathrooms. I ripped up the (crappy) carpets in my bedroom and the main bathroom to reveal great old hardwood and tile. Still... for the most part the kids seem to like it and my wife just loves it. Just something I'll have to get used to.
