Well, I could say this: "Ha ha! I was waiting for someone to try to justify 'statistics' - you've made my week!" But I won't. That would be a useless post :-) Instead I'll say that, even we both agreed that Consumer Reports had unimpeachably accurate analysis, who gives a feck? As I've said, people routinely don't buy cars because they're reliable, they buy them for emotional reasons. Hybrids are a perfect example. Are you really making a dent in whatever your environmental concerns are with them? Probably not. Are you really saving money over other methods? No. But it makes you feel like you are, so you buy it. Emotionally, it makes you feel good. Take VW's new commercials that "pimp your auto" by demolishing the "ricers" - "yah, VeeDub in the house" That's emotional! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:206281 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
